Shipping and Receiving/Inventory Control Specialist

In this unique position in a small team environment you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the company’s inventory and determining the cause for discrepancies.  High volume shipping & receiving activities are paramount with this position and will require working with other functional areas such as:  Planning, Purchasing, Sales and Production ensuring processes are followed and individual job and customer requirements met.  Within this environment you might be asked to fill in for other positions within the office when needed.  Aptitude for learning multiple functional areas within the group is required.  Knowledge in the below areas a plus:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Detailed understanding of Manufacturing BOMs and MRP systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of small team
  • Ability to cross train to other Job functions to provide coverage in this small team environment.
  • Acute attention to detail required

Working Conditions include:

  • Standing, walking and sitting for periods of time
  • Occasional maneuvering heavy objects, including: lifting, carrying up to 50Lbs and pushing and pulling of a pallet jack.

This position plays a key role in helping achieve corporate objectives by ensuring team members across manufacturing locations are abiding by warehouse and safety procedures and achieving warehouse goals.

Physical Limitations: Work may require lifting, pulling, and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds; frequent bending, climbing stairs, and reaching; standing up to six (6) hours per day.
